THE INSPIRATION

I started this shirt in December of 2021 as an attempted gift to my sister. Instead of collaging onto a pre-made base, for this garment I deconstructed a shirt I liked and recreated it using old jeans found under my bed. After hours of seam ripping, I had a pattern made from the old shirt, fabric from the old jeans, and little to no understanding of garment structure. Overwhelmed by the daunting task of assembling it, I put it away and forgot about it for 10 months before deciding I understood enough about sewing to try it again. This is the assembled product.
