THE INSPIRATION

In the late summer of 2020 I returned to Boston to pack up my post-college apartment. I hadn’t been back since the start of the pandemic, when life was halted and I fled to the safety of my childhood home in California. This photo was taken on the drive back across the country. The collage is about the beauty of this trip juxtaposed with the displacement and loss of control I was simultaneously experiencing.
